Set within San Diego’s sought-after Sunset Cliffs neighborhood, the Sunset Cliffs Residence transforms an existing two-story home into a relaxed coastal retreat shaped by panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. The extensive remodel rethinks the home’s interior organization, opening living spaces to one another while strengthening their connection to the dramatic coastal setting.
At the heart of the redesigned ground floor, a spacious Great Room brings the kitchen, dining, and living areas together within a bright, open environment designed for both everyday living and entertaining. An open kitchen and new pantry enhance functionality, while a remodeled bathroom, new powder room, and fourth bedroom add flexibility for family and guests.
Upstairs, the existing family room was completely reoriented to take full advantage of the home’s sweeping ocean views. A new gas fireplace anchors the space, creating a comfortable gathering place while allowing the Pacific to become the room’s defining backdrop.
