Larimer Design teamed up with Monroe County and the Rochester Red Wings, with support from SWBR and Vargas Associates, to transform Innovative Field through comprehensive branding and wayfinding enhancements. These improvements elevate the fan experience and honor the team’s nearly 150-year legacy, including a newly redesigned Home Clubhouse and adjacent service tunnel, completed in 2024.
The transformed clubhouse features:
Striking formal entrance adorned with dimensional team logos
Illuminated overhead logo as a bold visual centerpiece in the locker room
Oversized replica player cards celebrating Red Wings greats
Expansive murals highlighting key moments in franchise history
Integrated wayfinding and signage for improved navigation and fan engagement
“These upgrades not only celebrate the rich history of the Red Wings but also create an inspiring environment for our players, staff, and fans,” said Naomi Silver, President/CEO/COO of Rochester Community Baseball. “Larimer Design’s creative approach and attention to detail have transformed our clubhouse and wayfinding elements into a first-class experience for everyone who walks through our doors.”
These clubhouse and wayfinding enhancements are part of a broader, multi-year $26 million investment to modernize Innovative Field and ensure compliance with Major League Baseball’s latest facility standards. Previous upgrades included a cutting-edge videoboard, renovations to the visitor’s clubhouse, and expanded kitchen facilities. Upcoming projects include a new batting practice building, a state-of-the-art workout facility, and additional fan-friendly enhancements, all slated for completion by April 2025.
