goodyear ballpark seating bowl improvements

goodyear, arizona

mlb spring training venue

Larimer Design is collaborating with the City of Goodyear, Arizona, to reimagine and enhance Goodyear Ballpark’s seating bowl, originally opened in 2009. Serving as the spring training home and year-round training facility for the Cleveland Guardians and Cincinnati Reds, the ballpark currently features approximately 8,000 fixed seats with limited differentiation across price points. The proposed upgrades aim to transform the fan experience with innovative, flexible, and premium amenities.

Key Features Include:

  • Widened concourse behind home plate for improved accessibility and circulation

  • Flexible drinkrail seating for individuals and groups

  • Expanded shade structures above Club seats for enhanced comfort

  • Left-field group area with terraced seating for dynamic fan engagement

  • Premium mesh-back seats at field level and behind home plate for a modern, stylish touch

  • Right-field food court thoughtfully integrated with landscape elements

  • Outfield bar area with standing-room drinkrails creating a vibrant social hub

  • Enhanced concessions to meet the evolving tastes of today’s fans

This comprehensive redesign blends functionality, comfort, and aesthetic appeal, creating a more engaging, inclusive, and enjoyable experience for fans attending Cactus League spring training games while supporting the teams’ year-round training programs.
