In celebration of Coolray Field’s 15th anniversary, Larimer Design partnered with the Gwinnett Stripers and Diamond Baseball Holdings, with support from Coca-Cola®, to create the Coca-Cola Front Porch, an open-air group space located directly behind home plate. Opening in spring 2024, this 1,700 SF covered deck provides fans with a semi-private, premium viewing experience while maintaining commanding sightlines to the field.

Rising from the former Section 100, the Coca-Cola Front Porch is the only large open-air deck accessible directly from the main concourse, offering:

  • Spacious accommodations for groups up to 200 people

  • Fantastic views directly behind home plate

  • Fast and convenient entry from the main concourse

  • Integrated food service, allowing fans to dine and watch the game in one space

  • Protection from the elements with roof coverage

Two rows of 4Topps seats were added immediately in front of the deck, along with 72 individual seats, creating additional revenue opportunities for the Stripers. The Front Porch also enabled development of a new Concourse Suite, a smaller 12-person open-air space off the first base concourse.

“With the ongoing goal of creating a more premium experience for fans to enjoy Stripers baseball, we are thrilled to partner with Coca-Cola to launch the new Front Porch,” said Erin McCormick, Stripers General Manager. “This new group area puts fans right in the heart of the action and will be a hit for years to come.”

“Fans will enjoy America’s favorite pastime with their favorite ballpark beverage—an ice-cold Coca-Cola,” said Alton Rutledge, Lawrenceville Coca-Cola Bottling Co.

Larimer Design, known for improvement projects at ballparks including Truist Park and Petco Park, designed the Coca-Cola Front Porch with input from the Stripers and DBH. “For the past 18 years, our firm has worked hand-in-hand with Minor League ball clubs to enhance the fan experience while maintaining affordability for families,” said Tom Larimer, Principal Architect. “We can’t wait to see the Coca-Cola Front Porch in action this summer.”

The Coca-Cola Front Porch blends fan comfort, revenue-generating opportunities, and ballpark design continuity, positioning Coolray Field as a next-generation minor league venue and a vibrant gathering space for fans of all ages.
