South End Trading Co. redefines the ballpark retail experience as a premium, immersive destination centered on the culture and collectability of the game. Located near the Right Field Gate at Truist Park, the store transforms prominent concourse frontage into a high-impact retail environment designed to engage fans and elevate the value of officially licensed and game-used merchandise.
Larimer Design partnered with Temeka Group to bring this space to life, translating the retail vision into a cohesive architectural environment that balances fan engagement, brand storytelling, and operational efficiency.
The design emphasizes openness, clarity, and curated discovery, allowing fans to move fluidly through the space while engaging with product in a more intentional and elevated way. A defining feature of the space is The Vault—a dedicated, museum-like archive showcasing the Braves’ most coveted and historic collectibles. Designed as a focal point within the store, The Vault elevates game-used memorabilia into a storytelling experience, reinforcing authenticity while creating a sense of rarity and exclusivity that resonates with collectors and casual fans alike.
Behind the scenes, the project required careful coordination of existing building systems and operational workflows within an active ballpark setting. The final design balances front-of-house experience with back-of-house efficiency, delivering a space that is both highly functional and visually compelling.
South End Trading Co. demonstrates how thoughtful design can transform retail into a destination experience—one that celebrates the history of the game while driving meaningful fan engagement and revenue.
